Name: Victor Zsasz Door:Door Pass Canon: DCEU Canon Point: Right after Helena and Victor leave to confront Harley and Cass at the Booby Trap. Age: 37 Appearance: here History: here Personality: - Sadist: Takes pleasure and exerting power over those he victimizes. While Roman might ask him to “pretty please remove the skin from their faces” in some instances, it’s obvious (by the look of orgasmic joy on his face literally removing the facial expression from another) Victor doesn’t have a gun to his head. Killing someone with a knife is an extremely intimate form of murder, one Victor clearly enjoys and prefers to guns, with how up personal becomes. Throughout the film, he takes obvious pleasure in witnessing someone else’s suffering either by his own hand or when his obsession, Roman, is orchestrating it. His sadism even extends into masochism by marking each kill upon his body with a single “tally-mark” scar. A nice little reminder to literally mark the occasion. - Psychopath: Quite literally, Victor’s emotional range seems to vary from cold aloofness to quiet jealousy, only if, however, his obsession is threatened to be removed from him. Victor is shown to possess little empathy and display extreme antisocial behavior. One example of this is that when it is revealed a child ate the diamond Roman desired he didn’t even think about waiting for it to pass through her system. His immediate plan of action had been to cut it from her in order to deliver it to Roman faster while, at the same time, testing his much more compassionate partner, Dinah Lance’s, resolve and loyalty. He shows little regard for the discomfort of those around him, laughing at a woman’s humiliation while everyone stared in horror as Roman had her forcibly stripped in front of dozens. The only time Victor shows any other emotion, which is jealousy, it is when his prized possession, Roman’s attention, is taken away from him. It causes him to act out childishly, for example banging his head against a chair, until he gets it back. - Controlling: Doesn't like to be the one without the keys to the castle, you see. Even though Victor is shown to happily let Roman boss him around, the man makes it clear Black Mask isn't the only one swinging the bat in the gang. He easily forces himself into situations that do not involve him, such as when Dinah Lance is sent by Roman to retrieve the coveted Bertinelli diamond, when Roman originally had placed him in charge of finding Harley Quinn. Because that errand put Dinah smack-dab in the middle of Roman's spotlight, Victor quickly pushed Dinah aside by taking over said task. It is shown through small, pointed actions throughout his appearance, for example taking the diamond immediately from Dinah despite her being the one to fetch it. Another example is when he easily soothes and manipulates Roman during one of his melt-downs by redirecting his anger onto another person (most often a woman, in the case of Cassandra and Erica). - Jealousy: Birds of a feather flock together, even arrogant, pig-headed ones. While Roman's jealousy is much more open and outwardly expressed, Victor seems to have it in just as many, if not more quiet, spades. His jealousy, however, does not focus around material or power, it instead centers around Roman's attention. As mentioned, whenever he is not the center of Roman's world, Victor is shown to react childishly by throwing his own small "tantrums" in order to get it refocused on him. This reveals itself perfectly by his continual attempts to oversee and control Roman's meetings with Dinah, whom Roman has a certain amount of fondness towards. He tries to send her away when she's late for a meeting, he openly mocks her when Roman promotes her, he's even troubled by the realization that someone would even think to betray their boss. + Loyalty: If Victor had a middle name it would probably be loyalty (or something stupid like Victor Pubert Zsasz) the single and only positive trait among a plethora of bad. Even though the man his loyalty is given to isn’t the greatest nor most deserving of such undying respect, Victor gives it freely and devotedly. His attachment to Roman is intense in the most basic and simplest version. He does everything for Roman, his dirty work, his errands, his stand-in therapist--anyone want to be a fly on the wall during those sessions--and would no doubt readily give Roman whatever he wanted to ensure his well-being and happiness. About as eager to please as a Golden Retriever with matching intelligence. Powers and Abilities: - Knife mastery: Is extremely proficient with knives and has a lot of experience with skinning and dismembering people. - Expert marksman: Was able to shoot Harley with a tranquilizer dart before she could react from across the room. He was also capable of spraying down a family with a machine gun and seems to be adept with other types of firearms. - Expert torturer: Is an expert interrogator and takes deep pleasure in the torture and murder of his victims. Suffice to say, it would be prudent for his victims to spill the beans before anything happens to them.
