Taking his own glass, Victor downs a shot's worth of it, grinning through the burn.]

[ What he can't sell, or thinks is too hot to sell, he'll melt down and trade that way. He's done this shit a thousand times before, makes no difference what world he's in. ]

Roman's been kinda pissy at me since I brought this other guy into our contract. He wanted to get back at his dominant, and I thought he and Roman would get along. Not happenin' let me tell you that much.

[ He snorts a vague noise between amusement and faked disgust, like he really doesn't want to ease into it, thank you very much.

But then there's tales of Roman and he offers up a more sympathetic flinch. ]

[Victor grins, either way, actually dipping his head and rubbing the back of his neck.]

[Letting his gaze slowly drift over Boomer's face and down to the line on his throat, he hums.]

[ That look Victor gives him earns a mildly suspicious side eye, but Digger's ultimately way too distracted with trying to catch the bartenders attention for another whiskey. ]

Bloody obvious. He spent fifteen years with a bloke who looks like he's had a boxing match with a tiger. I been in more bar fights than there are days in the fuckin' year and I still don't got a face like yours.

Victor leans in, grin stretched wide across his face now, he can barely sit in his seat.]

[ With another two whiskey's ordered and soon to be on their way, Digger takes Victors obvious distraction and reaches for his half finished drink, downing it for himself. What's a few stolen drinks between friends? Especially when more are coming. ]

[ He thinks maybe he regrets asking already, and yet here they are. ]

It's gonna be crazy shit. [ Calling it, but the way he's looking at Victor is with some expectation, like he's waiting for the reason. ]

[It's not like Victor notices anyway, not when the opportunity to talk about his scars comes up. He'll get a drink later, if he remembers.]

[ Two more drinks slide in front of them on the bar and he's quick to neck back another half of a glass. ]
